マルイチ エアリアル エンジニア株式会社（略称：maec）は、法面工事・特殊伐採を事業とする株式会社マルイチ（新潟県村上市、代表取締役社長：岩佐治樹）の100％子会社として、2020年9月29日に設立した知的財産ビジネス、製品の開発・製造・販売事業に特化した新会社です。
maecでは、株式会社マルイチで進めていた、知的財産ビジネス、製品の開発・製造事業に特化し、取締役に世界トップアーボリスト（株式会社マルイチ取締役兼任）およびコロンビアの最新AIロボティクス技術者を迎え、より専門的かつスピーディーに事業に取り組んでいきます。

■業務内容
株式会社マルイチの現場作業からヒントを得た発明を特許化し、現場の作業をより安全・安心・快適に・スムーズに行なうことが出来るような製品・システムの企画・開発・製造を行ない、特殊伐採、建設業のみならず、“ロープワーク”を行なうすべての業界に広く適用可能な製品・システムの販売,また、知的財産ビジネスとして、取得した特許およびそれに係る技術・ノウハウのライセンスをワールドワイドに行なっていきます。

■ワールドワイドな開発アライアンス
各製品・システムの開発には、タイ、台湾、コロンビアのエンジニアなどへの委託または協業を行なっています。また、製品・システムの機能に関するアドバイスを株式会社マルイチの現場および世界中の現役のトップアーボリスト（注1）たちから得ながら開発を進めております。

（注1）アーボリストとは、主に高い樹木の剪定・メンテナンスを行なう樹木の専門家を指す欧米で広く知られる呼称。

■教育
講習会、ウェビナー、実技演習会などを開催し、現役のトップアーボリストによるロープワークの基礎から現場で実際に使う技術の教育を提供します。海外のトップアーボリストをゲストに迎えます。
また、株式会社マルイチの社員を講師として日本中の特殊伐採の現場に派遣し、安全施工のためのOJT教育を提供していきます。

 October 27, 2020— We are pleased to announce that MARUICHI AERIAL ENGINEER Co., Ltd (‘maec’) has just launched as of September 29th, 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.

‘maec’ is mainly focused on intellectual property business, product development, product sales, and education based on the ideas from practical tree rigging and rope work.

MARUICHI AERIAL ENGINEER Co., Ltd. (‘maec’) is a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of Maruichi Co., Ltd (Niigata, Japan, President Haruki Iwasa).

We at ‘maec’ specialize in the intellectual property business, product development and manufacturing business, which was being promoted by Maruichi Co., Ltd. We are welcomed to have one worldwide prominent arborist (also serving as director at Maruichi Co., Ltd.) and the high-quality A.I. robotics engineer from Colombia as our directors. Hence, we will work on our business more professionally and speedily.

[Our business]
We will register patents invention inspired by the work-site of Maruichi Co., Ltd. and we are expecting to develop products and systems that enable the work-site to be performed more safely, securely, comfortably, and smoothly. Our business market perspective not only targets the construction industry but also various industries throughout the world where people perform ‘ropework’. In addition, as an intellectual property business, we are planning to license our patents, know-how and technologies.

[Worldwide alliances]
We outsource and collaborate with engineers in Thailand, Taiwan, and Colombia to develop each product and system. We are proceeding with the developments while obtaining advice on product and system functions from the work-site of Maruichi Co., Ltd. and the highly respective top arborists* around the world.*An Arborist looks after trees within the public space, often climbing in them with ropes in order to enhance the amenity value and remove the danger to the public.

[Educations]
We will provide workshops, webinars, practical training sessions, etc., and provide education on the techniques actually used in the field from the basics of ropework by remarkable active top arborists. We even welcome top overseas arborists as guests.
Furthermore, we will dispatch arborists of Maruichi Co., Ltd. as instructors to special logging sites all over Japan to provide OJT education for safe construction.
